On May 14th, The Quell Foundation's First Responder Resilience Project (FRRP) headed to Martha's Vineyard for a screening of "First Responders Sound the Alarm" for the Martha's Vineyard Chiefs and Command Staff Training at the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association Conference. After the screening, our panelists, Frank Frederickson (Ret.) Director of Governmental Affairs, MA Fraternal Order of Police, Chief Thomas Fowler (Salisbury PD), and molly o'neil, wife of MA State Trooper Chris O’Neil (deceased) led a discussion aimed at fostering open dialogue about mental health within the first responder community. Their insights and expertise provided invaluable perspectives, helping to normalize these crucial conversations. A big thank you to Chief Randhi Belain (Aquinnah, MA PD) and the Martha's Vineyard Law Enforcement Council for making this event a success! Together we are #NormalizingTheConversation. #RemovetheStigma #mentalhealth #firstresponders #FRRP #FRSTA
